“At Sunrise” was inspired by a poem written by a renowned 19th century Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko who was known for his works to inspire Ukrainian independence, pride and cultural revival. This particular passage is an extract from a poem "Dream" and is depicting a moment when a nightingale is greeting the upcoming sunrise in the beautiful vast Ukrainian landscape. It begins with words:
We fly... I look — the dawn has come,
The sky's edge bursts ablaze;
In shady glades the nightingales
Sing out the new sun's praise.
