Molten Currents (Triptych) – Installation Instructions

This artwork is a three-panel piece designed to be installed together as a set. Each panel is equipped with D-rings and hanging wire on the back. When properly installed, the overall width is approximately 72 inches.

Recommended Hardware:

  • Use picture hooks (two per panel for more level positioning) or wall anchors appropriate for your wall type (drywall, plaster, brick, etc.).

Suggested Hanging Height:

  • The midpoint of the full composition should be at average eye level, approximately 60 inches from the floor to the center of the middle panel. Adjust as needed for your space.

Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Mark the Center Point: Find the horizontal center of the wall where the triptych will hang.

  2. Hang the Left Panel (Panel A): Position and hang so that the top edge is level at the desired height.

  3. Hang the Middle Panel (Panel B): Install directly adjacent to Panel A, overlapping the edge on top of Panel A by ~0.25–0.5 inch.

  4. Hang the Right Panel (Panel C): Align the top edge with the first two panels and overlap the edge on top of Panel B by ~0.25–0.5 inch.

  5. Keep all top edges level across the triptych.

Notes on Alignment:

  • The edges are intentionally organic and uneven. In some areas, panels will overlap more closely, while in other areas small gaps may appear, revealing the wall behind.

  • This variation is an intentional part of the artwork’s aesthetic, allowing for subtle differences in final positioning depending on the wall and installation.

  • Ensure that the top edges of all panels remain aligned for the intended composition.

Final Check:

  • Step back to confirm that the panels read as a unified composition.

  • Small adjustments to overlap and spacing are expected and encouraged to best suit your space while maintaining the integrity of the piece.
